HOW IS CONWED PLASTIC NETTING MADE?
It is a melt processing of thermoplastics into netting. An extruder melts and pressurizes the plastic pellets and
forces them through tooling in a die to create a netting profile. After the plastic moves through the die, it is
cooled and the plastic hardens into the pre-determined shape. Conwed produces extruded tubes, square, diamond
and flat netting.
Conwed uses different resins and the formulations will vary depending on the raw material properties, the
final application, the product requirements and specifications, and the intended product lifetime. Some netting
may undergo an additional process such as orientation and subsequent conversion such as slitting, rewinding,
calendering, sheeting, lamination and more.
Conwed netting is manufactured through a single-step
continuous extrusion process that yields a plastic material
with integral joints.
